"I love trees because they help everybody live, and they let plants live also. During the process of photosynthesis plants, trees, and leaves let out oxygen and let them exit. This allows us to live by the oxygen they release. We need the oxygen and the plants let us have it. We breath out carbon dioxide. We help trees by breathing out carbon dioxide and they they bring it into them. Then the process starts all over again. To me trees are very important. They are also interesting to learn in school or any other place. The most interesting part to me is if you cut open a trunk, and look at the bottom you can see layers. The layers can allow you to see how old the tree is. That is why I love trees!"

This winner was tied with Natalie.
